BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A deputy shot a dog after a pack was chasing people in east Bakersfield.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of California and Chamberlain avenues around 12:34 p.m. for the report of a pack of dogs chasing people. Prior to deputy arrival a person was bit by one of the dogs, resulting in minor injuries.

Officials with the sheriff’s office said one of the dogs charged at a deputy and the deputy shot the dog, killing it.
