Weddings affected after Sacramento County Clerk Recorder office damaged by fallen tree

(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Clerk Recorder office is closed due to weather-related damage.

A tree fell on the office located at 3636 American River Drive #110. Due to the damage, the office currently has no water supply.

The fallen tree has already been removed, but due to the damage to the water main, there is no estimated time for the facility to be reopened.

For pre-scheduled weddings on Friday, staff are reaching out for relocation or rescheduling. Due to the influx of customers at the E. Stockton Boulevard location, no wedding walk-ins will be accepted.

Anyone in need of in-person services may use the County Clerk Recorder website to check if it is open the week of Dec. 29 before traveling to the site.

The facility will remain closed until the water supply is restored.
