Here are the three takeaways from Saturday night’s shutout victory:

Andre Lee strikes again in his 200th professional game

It was a milestone night for Andre Lee, who scored a goal to celebrate. Lee, now in his fourth full professional season, played in his 200th professional game (AHL and NHL games combined) and scored his team-leading 12th goal of the season to extend the Reign’s lead to 2-0.

What I liked about the goal was Lee’s patience with the puck, outwaiting Jakub Skarek before tucking the puck by the Barracuda netminder.

Lee’s offensive game continues to increase while playing in all situations this year. He has set career-highs in goals and points with a shooting percentage of 24.5% (which will most likely come down a bit at some point). The 25-year-old has 17 points (9 G, 8 A) in his last 17 games.

Aatu Jamsen snaps a long goalless drought

Aatu Jamsen has skill and creativity in his game and has played the role of a bottom-six forward with power-play time. The former seventh-round pick (2020) opened the scoring in the first period, tallying his fifth goal of the season. It marked the first time the Finnish native found the back of the net in 15 games. Jamsen has nine points (5 G, 4 A) and has suited up in all 28 games for the Reign.

The goal was his second game-winning goal of the season, and both have come in San Jose against the Barracuda.

OH, WE JAMMIN’!!🙌🎶

Another shutout for Isaiah Saville

This game was all about Isaiah Saville. The 25-year-old netminder stole the show by turning aside all 32 shots from San Jose. His 32 saves were a season high for his second shutout in three starts.

Saville has made six starts and seven appearances in net and has won four of his six starts (five wins in his seven appearances) and has recorded a 1.91 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage.

For Saville, this is turning into a feel-good story. He missed all of 2024-25 because of an injury, thus not receiving a qualifying offer from the Vegas Golden Knights after his entry-level contract expired. That led to him signing a one-year AHL contract with the Reign. You just can’t help but feel happy for him for how he has filled in for Pheonix Copley (called up to the Kings) and Erik Portillo (injury).

*Glenn Gawdin played in his 100th game as a member of the Reign and recorded an assist for the fourth straight game, extending his point streak to seven games (3 G, 6 A).

Two milestones are better than one! 🎉

*Jamsen scored his sixth goal in 13 career games against the Barracuda.

*Cole Guttman served the final game of his two-game suspension that he received for his illegal check to the head on Sharks prospect Quentin Musty on December 20th.
