Two people were rescued after a vehicle collided with a Metro light rail train in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park neighborhood Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. at Exposition Boulevard and Raymond Avenue and involved a Metro train and a small compact vehicle that struck the train, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Video streamed on Citizen showed the car was badly damaged. Both occupants were taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
“All passengers on the train were assessed and are uninjured,” the Fire Department said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The collision caused significant disruptions for Metro E-Line passengers as train service through the area was halted. As of 4:30 p.m., there was no service between Expo/Western and Expo/Vermont stations. Bus shuttles were set up to move passengers around the crash scene.
