Four people sustained injuries Monday when a Metro light rail train was involved in a collision with a vehicle in downtown Los Angeles.
The collision involving an A (Blue) Line train was reported about 8:25 a.m. at the intersection of Olive Street and Washington Boulevard, according to a Metro spokesman who said about 170 passengers were safely removed from the train, with four transported for hospital treatment.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported the patients had minor injuries.
“Metro extends its best wishes for a swift recovery to the injured passengers,” according to a statement from the agency.
The collision and response prompted bus detours and up to 10-minute delays on the A-Line.
