2025 was a year of nonstop action for The Daily Californian. In no particular order, UC Berkeley Chancellor Rich Lyons testified in Washington, D.C., in front of members of the U.S. House, Cal fired head football coach Justin Wilcox after nine years, Turning Point USA hosted an event on campus that was met with emphatic protest, Gov. Gavin Newsom gave a press conference from Campbell Hall and thousands gathered in protest of President Donald Trump’s presidency for multiple “No Kings Day” protests. Throughout all of these events, the Daily Cal’s photo staff has been present, documenting small pieces of this frantic year. These are some of the many highlights.
