Get a jump-start on your plans for 2026 with the first-ever Downtown Coffee Rave on Wednesday.
The Downtown Bakersfield Business Association has teamed with In Your Wildest Dreams Consignment & Antiques for the morning — yes, morning — rave to bring people together through coffee, music and connection.
Music will come courtesy of a lively DJ set from Travis Cash of Central Groove Collective.
Jittery Geeks, which has a shop set up inside the store, will sell $3 drip coffee and $5 holiday drinks.
The seasonal beverages, which end their run on New Year’s Eve, consist of:
Champurrado Mocha Latte, made with in-house syrup with tones of Mexican cocoa, cinnamon, and sweet corn;
The Grinch, green mint latte topped with dark chocolate espresso;
Krampus Latte, a vanilla and cinnamon latte topped with a snickerdoodle soft top;
Gremlins Boost, sour apple, passionfruit, club soda and lotus energy with a strawberry drizzle;
Buddy the Elf Hojicha, a Japanese hojicha matcha made with in-house maple syrup; and
Ya Filthy Animal Matcha, a traditional Japanese matcha made with a sweet mint syrup.
The event will also include a giveaway for two tickets to see comedian Hans Kim, who will perform Jan. 23 and 24, at The Well Comedy Club’s new location at 1517 18th St., which was last home to Off The Rails Tap Lounge.
(The DBA will host a ribbon cutting for The Well at 2 p.m. Jan. 20.)
The event runs from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the store, 2819 F St. There is no admission fee and it is open to everyone.
