BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a man accused of breaking into a vehicle and taking 10 handbags, costing about $1,000.

Police said the vehicle burglary happened on December 14th, 2025, at about 2:19 a.m., in the 900 block of 20th Street.

According to police, the man allegedly broke into a vehicle through the front passenger window and took about ten handbags, totaling around $1,000 in value, before leaving the area on a bicycle.

The suspect is described as a man, wearing a black hoodie with orange and white skeletons, dark pants, Converse Chuck Taylor shoes, and carrying a black Jansport backpack. He was riding a TREK bike.
