A Garden Grove man was charged Thursday with fatally shooting a 67-year-old man last month.
Rodolfo Ramirez, 37, was charged with murder with a sentencing enhancement for the discharge of a gun causing death. Co-defendant Gustavo Covarrubias, 51, of Santa Ana, was charged with felony accessory after the fact.
The two were arrested Tuesday, according to police.
Ramirez is accused of killing Mario Barrios of Garden Grove.
Barrios was gunned down about 4 p.m. Sept. 21 in a largely industrial area in the 12600 block of Westminster Avenue, Garden Grove Police Department Sgt. Nick Jensen said. The area also has some retail businesses, he added.
Barrios was fatally shot in the upper body in a parking lot, Jensen said. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died, Jensen said.
Investigators were still working to determine what motivated the shooting and what relationship, if any, Ramirez and Covarrubias had with Barrios, Jensen said.
