FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man is in the hospital after being stabbed in Central Fresno Thursday night.
Police say they received reports of a disturbance at 7:37 p.m., Thursday night in the area of Clinton Avenue and College Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man inside a home with multiple stab wounds.
Officers provided first aid until emergency medical services and fire crews arrived, then transported the man to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police say the stabbing appears to have occurred during a family gathering, though officials are still investigating the circumstances.
It is unclear whether the man knew the suspect.
Detectives are working to gather witness statements.
