A driver who escaped from police had their car impounded after being caught a few days later.
Fresno Police attempted a traffic stop on a driver driving a black Mercedes sedan in downtown Fresno on December 30th.
Officers stopped pursuing the car due to reckless driving and to avoid endangering the public.
A court-authorized vehicle seizure order was given and shared with multiple agencies.
An Oakhurst CHP officer located the Mercedes traveling on Highway 41 at Cavin Lane in Coarsegold.
The car was stopped and seized.
The driver was also given a ticket for driving on a suspended license.
