BAKERSFIELD, Calif KBAK/KBFX — Morning rain shuts down several roads in Kern County on Saturday.
In Bakersfield, flooding closed Union Avenue between Truxtun and California Avenues.
Up north, near Oildale, Airport Drive is closed from State Road and Roberts Lane. Several drivers were stalled due to the rising water in the roadway.
In Lake Isabella, the water closed Highway 178 at Vista Grand Drive. Drivers are being advised to use an alternate route.
In Wasco, the weather also shut down Highway 46 between F and J Streets at Highway 43.
No information has been provided on when the roadways will reopen.
Cloudy with occasional showers are predicted to continue overnight.
