Multiple sources have reported that Tony Vitello and the San Francisco Giants are discussing the open managerial position.
Ken Rosenthal and Britt Ghirolli reported that San Francisco is close to naming Vitello its new manager. According to Jeff Passan and Pete Thamel’s sources, the decision will come in the next 24-72 hours.
If the two sides enter into a deal, he would be the first manager hired directly from college with no professional experience according to Passan.
