BAKERSFIELD, Calif KBAK/KBFX — Bakersfield Police Department arrested two 17-year-old boys in connection with a fatal shooting at Foods Co. on Jan. 2.
The incident, which occurred at 1801 White Lane, began as a robbery inside the store.

BPD said when the suspects fled to the parking lot, they were confronted by patrons who attempted to intervene.
According to police, one suspect then fired multiple rounds, striking and killing a man.
The suspects were apprehended on Jan. 3 in the 500 block of H Street. They were booked into Kern County Juvenile Hall on charges including homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and gang participation.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Kern County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim.
