FRENSO, Calif. (KFSN) — It was a day of peaceful protests in Fresno with many joining others nationwide in the No Kings movement as millions marched against President Trump’s agenda.
On Saturday, 2600 planned No Kings demonstrations marked the second round of protests nationwide as passionate and peaceful protesters took to the streets from coast to coast.
Republican leadership is referring to the day-long event as “The Hate America” rally.
From the shores of San Francisco to the streets of Times Square, protesters united under one shared sentiment.
The President is responding to the protests with a weekend visit to his Mar-a-Lago golf club in Florida.
“People need to speak out, and it’s wonderful millions around the country are speaking out today,” said California Democratic Senator Adam Schiff.
Closer to home, a pair of protests were held in Fresno County, including one near Manchester Center in Central Fresno.
Hundreds marched in solidarity against what they describe as President Trump’s abuse of power, including the federal government’s militarization of National Guard troops deployed into U.S. cities and the mistreatment of immigrants by ICE agents.
