The NFC’s No. 4 seed Carolina Panthers enter their Wild Card game against the 12-5 Los Angeles Rams as an obvious underdog. Carolina finished their regular season with a losing record, and most of their victories came at the expense of some of the league’s worst teams. Yet, one game shines brightly as a beacon of hope: On Nov. 30, the Panthers defeated the Rams, 31-28. Despite everything, Carolina has proven they can beat Los Angeles. The only question is: Can they do it again? To find out the answer, here’s where to watch the Rams vs Panthers, which is airing on FOX at 4:30 p.m. ET on Jan. 10.

Despite officially earning the No. 5 seed, the Rams are among the NFL’s most impressive squads. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was arguably one of the best in the league at his position this season, finishing first in passing yards (a whopping 4,707). It certainly didn’t hurt that Stafford had the privilege of targeting one of the league’s best wideouts in Puka Nacua, who placed first in receptions (129) and second in receiving yards (1,715). Running back Kyren Williams was no slouch either, earning more than 1,200 rushing yards and finding the endzone 13 times.
All of these stellar individual performances add up to the Rams having arguably the single best offense in the NFL. They finished the 2025 season ranked first in total yards per game and first in points per game. Ultimately, the team with the most points wins, and Los Angeles is exceptionally good at scoring points.
And yet, when the Panthers played the Rams earlier this season, they held the league’s top offense at bay. Stafford threw two interceptions and the underdog Panthers unleashed their offense. Quarterback Bryce Young had three touchdowns and zero interceptions, distributing each endzone completion to three different receivers. Although they only won by three points, the Panthers nonetheless shocked the football world with an unexpected victory. All they have to do is repeat this heroic feat one more time and they’ll advance past the Wild Card round for the first time in recent history.
