BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a teen accused of robbing a cell phone while the victim was walking home from school.

Police said the robbery happened on Friday, September 26th, 2025, around 3:50 p.m., in the 1100 block of Inyo Street.

The victim was walking home from school when he was approached from behind and the suspect forcibly took his cellular phone. The suspect then ran eastbound in the 400 block of Lake Street.

The suspect is described as a male juvenile, slim build, with a tattoo on his right hand depicting a skeletal hand.

He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and gray jeans.
