(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in the Christmas Eve plane crash in North Sacramento.
According to the coroner’s office, Ronnie H. Metcalf, 70, of West Sacramento, died in the plane crash that occurred around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Claire Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard.
On Dec. 24, the Sacramento Fire Department responded to a call for an aircraft emergency that required two men to be extracted from the plane.
A spokesperson with the fire department told FOX40 that two men were transported to a trauma center in different ambulances. The passenger went into cardiac arrest but was revived after medical personnel worked on him.
The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed on X that its crews are investigating the crash.
At this time, the cause of the plane crash is unknown.
