BAKERSFIELD — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office invites interested candidates to attend a recruitment and testing event for detentions deputy positions on Saturday at the Kern County Regional Training Center, 962 Norris Road, Bakersfield.
Persons must be 18 years old to apply.
Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. The event begins at 8 a.m. Testing starts as seats are filled, or no later than 10 a.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to receive application assistance and participate in a presentation and Q&A session with current detentions deputies. They will also have a chance to tour the training center.
“This event is an excellent opportunity to learn more about a rewarding career with (Kern County Sheriff’s Office) and take the first step toward joining our team,” authorities said.
