It’s true that various well-known phrases are frequently called out in the vicinity of a train — “all aboard!” springs to mind — and the same can be said for people raising festive flutes to share a toast.
We don’t say “all aboard” at that particular merry moment, of course, but rather “cheers” or another convivial wish. Still, exuberantly delivered phrases are a common connection between train travel and the clinking of glasses.
That shared exuberance of spirit, the one that quirkily connects locomotives and libations, will find playful footing at Union Station Jan. 24 when Uncorked LA returns for a night of fine wines, creative cocktails, and the Zero Proof Lounge, where mocktails and other non-alcoholic sips hold spirited but spirit-free sway.
The popular event will spotlight over 100 drinks, with fine wines and all sorts of flavorful concoctions in the spotlight.
Music is one of the happy hearts of the event, and the opportunity to dance. Party games, too, will play a role in the evening affair.
If you’d like to arrive early, you’ll want to go with the ticket that gives you first dibs. General admission ticket holders can enter starting at 6 p.m., and the whole sip-centered shebang wraps at 9 o’clock.
Vineyards and wineries set to appear at the 2026 revelry include Ghost Block Estate Wines, Adobe Road Winery, and Baxter Ridge Vineyards. Eager for the full roster? It’s on the site, along with tickets and details.
The beneficiary of the night? It’s K9 Youth Alliance, an organization that “… creates opportunities for youth from under-resourced communities and gives homeless dogs the chance they deserve to live a happy life.”
