The Panthers barely earned a spot in the playoffs after dropping their final regular-season game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite their 8-9 record, the Panthers won the NFC South title, which earned them the No. 4 seed in the playoffs. Carolina is led at quarterback by Bryce Young, who finished the regular season with 3,011 passing yards and 23 touchdowns.
The Rams finished second in the NFC West division with a 12-5 record, which resulted in them having the No. 5 seed and having to travel to North Carolina for the first round of the playoffs. They’re led by veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is playing at an elite level this season. He led the league in regular-season passing yards (4,707) and touchdowns (46).
