Two San Francisco residents were arrested on suspicion of trafficking a 14-year-old girl in Central California, according to law enforcement officials.
Stanislaus County deputies arrested Bexy Arellanes and David Samaniego, both 19, after recovering the missing teenager believed to be a victim of human trafficking on Jan. 1, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office said in a Friday statement.
Detectives from the sheriff’s special victims unit and investigators from the county’s trafficking task force began searching for the girl on Dec. 31, 2025. Authorities recovered the teenager the following day.

The sheriff’s office was still investigating the incident and asked anyone with information on the case to contact detective Cooper at 209-525-7114 or submit an anonymous tip to Stanislaus Area Crime Stoppers at 866-602-7463.
