Police say they’re investigating an assault in Central Long Beach that left a man hospitalized Saturday evening.
The victim was arguing with another man in the 1300 block of Peterson Avenue around 7:39 p.m. when he was “struck with a bladed weapon,” according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a local hospital for treatment of an injury to his upper body that was not considered life-threatening, according to authorities.
The circumstances and motive of the assault are under investigation, police said.
