A 19-year-old woman who was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck and a Tesla on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Sylmar was identified Monday.
The crash occurred at 5:10 a.m. Sunday on the eastbound freeway at the Polk Street off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
She was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Angie Rios, who sustained blunt traumatic injuries. Her city of residence was not available.
Firefighters and paramedics assisted the CHP with extracting the body from the wreckage, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
