FRENSO, Calif. (KFSN) — Kaiser Permanente says it is returning to normal operations after a five-day strike ended early Sunday morning.
About 30,000 health care workers represented by the Alliance of Health Care Unions returned to work at 7 a.m. on October 19.
During the strike, Kaiser kept its hospitals and clinics running with help from doctors, managers, and thousands of contracted nurses and staff.
“We are deeply grateful to our front-line care teams who leaned in to ensure the continuity of outstanding patient care last week,” Kaiser said in a statement.
Kaiser and the union plan to restart contract talks on October 22 and 23.
