Six law schools hit 100% pass rates for first-time applicants on California’s July 2025 bar exam, according to a story by Law.com.
Every first-time applicant from Stanford Law School, Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, Cornell Law School, the New York University School of Law, the University of Texas at Austin School of Law and Yale Law School passed, according to the state bar, which releases pass rates for schools with 11 or more graduates completing the exam.
Six is the highest number of law schools with perfect marks going back at least 19 years, according to the story. An additional 15 ABA-approved institutions hit pass rates of more than 90%, according to Law.com.
Eighty-three percent of graduates of ABA-approved schools who took their first bar exam in California in July passed, up from 80% in July 2024, according to the story.
Typically, first-time examinees pass at higher rates than those repeating the exam.
