January 14, 2026 // Franchising.com // Parker, Colorado — The Swing Bays has announced a five-unit development agreement in Southern California. Franchisees Sam and Corinna Chang plan to launch their first of five locations in Rowland Heights. Construction is currently underway at the Rowland Heights location with a targeted spring 2026 opening.
Sam Chang left a career of over 20 years as a regional director of sales to pursue the franchise opportunity. He and his wife, Corinna, have worked as realtors for more than 15 years, specializing in sales and property management.
“Golf is the heartbeat of our family,” said Sam Chang. “My wife and I have played for more than 25 years, and now all four of our kids are in love with the game too. We’ve watched our youngest fight their way up to varsity, so we understand the golfer’s journey because we’re living it right alongside our customers.
That’s why the Swing Bays made sense for us—not just as golfers, but as franchise owners. When you genuinely understand the sport, the community, and the experience golfers are looking for, the business becomes that much more natural to build.”
The Changs plan to begin pre-selling memberships in the first quarter of 2026, with the four additional Southern California locations to follow.
“The Swing Bays started because we saw a gap in the golf world — great players and everyday golfers didn’t always have access to quality instruction and a place that felt welcoming year-round,” said Dustin Miller, founder of the Swing Bays. “Our goal has always been to make golf more approachable, more educational, and more community-driven. Seeing that vision take shape in California is exciting, especially alongside franchise partners who truly understand what we’re building and why it matters.”
The Swing Bays is designed to be a golfer’s home away from the course — a place where people can practice, learn, train, and connect year-round. More than an indoor simulator space, the Swing Bays brings together golf instruction, performance-focused fitness, and club fittings in a community-driven environment built around real improvement and relationships.
The Rowland Heights location will feature six indoor simulator bays, including a private bay, along with beverage service and partnerships with local restaurants for events. The space is intentionally designed to feel welcoming and social, serving everyone from beginners and junior golfers to competitive players, corporate groups, and local teams.
Through coaching, training sessions, leagues, fundraisers, and member-driven events, the Swing Bays creates a consistent place for golfers to show up, get better, and feel part of something.
