A man was shot in Wrigley early Wednesday morning, but refused to cooperate with investigators, police said.

The man was apparently riding a bicycle in the 1900 block of Pacific Avenue around 1 a.m. when he was shot, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The man then rode to a local business, where bystanders called the police.

But the man did not cooperate when officers asked him to provide additional details of the shooting, police said.

After LBPD officers aided the man, Long Beach Fire Department personnel took him to a local hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body, according to authorities.

Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation, police said.
