Blake Krass breaks down his prediction and pick for Wednesday’s game between the Sacramento Kings and the New York Knicks.
The New York Knicks take on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night in Sacramento. The game tips off at 10:00 p.m. ET at the Golden 1 Center.
The Knicks are 10.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook with the total for this game set at 229.5 points. Let’s get into my preview, prediction and pick for this Knicks at Kings game.
Knicks at Kings prediction, preview
The Knicks are 1-1 so far on their West Coast trip, losing to the Suns and beating the Trail Blazers. New York got three days off ahead of this game against the Kings, so it should be fresh and ready to take down an inferior opponent. The Knicks then have one more game out west tomorrow night against the Warriors before returning to The Garden. It has been a bit of a shaky stretch for New York over the last couple of weeks, winning just two of its past seven games. Luckily for the Knicks, nobody else in the Eastern Conference is firing on all cylinders, which has allowed them to remain in second place, behind the Pistons.
The Kings have had a disastrous 2025-26 season. They are one of just three teams in the NBA with 30 losses on the season. Sacramento is currently starting one of the worst frontcourts in the NBA due to Keegan Murray and Domantas Sabonis both being out for an extended period of time. That just leaves Sacramento with an aging backcourt of Russell Westbrook, Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan to lead the way. It’s quite clear this is a lost season for the Kings and they are unlikely to be competitive down the stretch.
Knicks at Kings pick, best bet
The Knicks are in need of a big game. New York was 1-7 in its past eight games before the win over the Trail Blazers on Sunday. That win should have generated some confidence, then the Knicks got two nights off before this game. So, the Knicks should not only be ready to get a win streak going, but they should have fresh legs. The current starting frontcourt for the Kings is former Knick, Precious Achiuwa, and rookie Maxime Raynaud. New York should dominate on the interior with Karl-Anthony Towns and get easy buckets. If either of those players get into foul trouble, Sacramento will be forced to go deep into its bench. New York beat Sacramento by at least 23 points in both matchups between the teams last season, and it could be a similar display of dominance on Wednesday night.
Best Bet: New York Knicks -10.5 (-118)
