SAN JOSE, Calif.—Allie Cummins scored a career-high 20 points, including 13 in third quarter, to lead the San José State women’s basketball team in a 78-50 loss to Mountain West co-leader UNLV Wednesday night at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
Cummins was 7-for-12 from the field, 4-for-8 from three-point range and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.
She is the second Spartan to score 20+ points in game this season.
Gabriela Pato was the only other Spartan in double figures, tying her career high with 11 points including 6-for-7 from the free throw line.
Maya Anderson scored six points and led the Spartans with six rebounds.
Anderson and Carla Fuster each dished out four assists for SJSU.
The Spartans were down 45-25 with 5:27 left in the third quarter before going on a 13-2 run to cut the Lady Rebel lead to 47-38 on two Cummins free throws with 1:45 left in the quarter.
