Two people were taken into custody early Thursday after California Highway Patrol officers helped intercept an apparent armed kidnapping in Los Angeles.
The report involved a white Cadillac SUV traveling southbound on the 405 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley around 2 a.m., according to the CHP.
The initial call indicated that several armed men forced another man into the Cadillac at gunpoint. It was unclear where the suspects abducted the victim.
Officers eventually located the vehicle and stopped it at a gas station on the 16500 block of Victory Boulevard in the Lake Balboa neighborhood.
The CHP confirmed that two people were detained at the scene.
Authorities have not released a possible motive for the kidnapping or said whether the victim was injured.
The Los Angeles Police Department is involved in the investigation, according to a CHP spokesperson.
