FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Wagyu 2 Go at Shaw and West in northwest Fresno blends a unique burger experience.

Wagyu is a premium beef developed in Japan.

Waheed Jawad calls the patties a mix of Wagyu and American Angus beef.

“This is what distinguishes the wagyu from the regular burger — if you see the marbleization of the bacon and the beef patty,” he said.

Grilled onions and an onion ring go on a toasted, soft potato bun.

Cowboy aioli sauce completes the Western Wagyu burger.

It came with a half-and-half order of onion rings and fries.

Dubai chocolate mixes pistachio, chocolate and the Middle Eastern dessert kunafe.

It’s blended into a milkshake and perfect for cooling off after trying the spicy green beans.

The garlic marinated chicken sandwich shows this is more than a burger joint.

“This is the sauce that makes all of it – the garlic sauce,” Jawad said.

The Zoe garlic grilled chicken salad honors a now-closed restaurant where Waheed used to dine while a Fresno State student.

“Why not do something I kind of grew up eating,” he said.

Dates add a unique sweetness to the salad.

“It’s a Mediterranean-inspired dish,” Jawad said.

Wagyu 2 Go seamlessly blends cultures.
