“Welcome” will be the theme for the 2027 Rose Parade, newly confirmed President and Chairman of the Board of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association Terry Madigan announced Thursday night.
“The theme celebrates the simple joy of belonging, that feeling that you’re always welcome, no matter who or where you are,” according to a statement from the association. “It’s the warmth of family — whether related or chosen, the love of good friends, and the welcoming embrace of community.”
The Tournament of Roses’ Board of Directors earlier Thursday night confirmed Madigan as the association’s president and chairman of the board, completing the traditional succession plan.
The new association president traditionally announces the theme for the next parade on the night he or she officially ascends to the position.
The association’s executive committee also elected Brian James to serve as president for 2034 Thursday.
