CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) — A teenage girl was injured Friday morning after the van she was driving collided with a semi-truck on Minnewawa Avenue.
Clovis Police say the crash happened about 9:30 a.m. on Minnewawa Avenue south of Shepherd Avenue.
The driver of the semi remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Officers said fog may have been a factor in the crash, but the department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit will determine the exact cause.
Officials have not yet released the severity of the teen’s injuries.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area of Minnewawa and Shepherd or expect delays.
Police are also urging motorists to slow down, use caution, and turn on lowbeam headlights when driving in fog.
