LOS ANGELES — A new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge update ushers in a new era, where Rebel heroes and the Dark Lord of the Sith roam the land!
Beginning April 29, guests visiting Batuu will be able to step into a new timeline and come face-to-face with characters from the original “Star Wars” trilogy.
Set on the remote planet of Batuu, Black Spire Outpost is home to popular attractions such as “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance,” “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run” and “Fire of the Rising Moons,” the nighttime fireworks spectacular.
For the first time, figures from the Galactic Civil War and the New Republic will appear in the land.
Darth Vader will loom over the outpost, with characters Leia Organa, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker also making appearances, giving fans a chance to meet some of the saga’s most iconic characters.
They’ll join familiar faces already inhabiting Black Spire Outpost, including R2-D2, Chewbacca, and the Mandalorian and Grogu from the most recent Resistance era.
Also, the unmistakable score by composer John Williams will now play throughout the land, surrounding guests with the distinct musical themes of each character.
If you happen to find yourself inside Olga’s Cantina, the lively tune “Cantina Band” will be playing as you enjoy a Yub Nub or Fuzzy Tauntaun.
The park has a history of welcoming special guests. When the cast of “Skeleton Crew” visited, On The Red Carpet accompanied them as they rode “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.” Check out the full video here.
