Portion of Hwy 58 in west Bakersfield to be closed for repairs

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A portion of Highway 58 in west Bakersfield is set to be closed Friday for repairs and roadway updates.

The closure is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Highway 58 between Heath Road and Nord Avenue, according to Caltrans.

The closure is so crews can update roadway markings and signage and install new striping and signage, Caltrans said.

A detour will be in place to utilize Rosedale Highway.
