A bicyclist lost his life in a traffic accident in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Officers responded to reports of an unresponsive person in the center median near Artesia Boulevard and Indiana Avenue at about 9:40 p.m. Friday, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Firefighters also arrived on the scene and performed life-saving measures before taking the adult male bicyclist to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Detectives believe the victim was traveling eastbound in the far-left lane of Artesia Boulevard on an electric bike when he possibly lost control and hit the curb of the center median.
