Police are investigating a shooting in Central Long Beach that left a man hospitalized early Saturday morning.
Long Beach police say the man was in the area of Walnut Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway around 3 a.m. when he was shot.
Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took the man to a local hospital in stable condition, according to authorities. There, he was treated for a gunshot wound to his lower body that was not considered life-threatening, police said.
Officers located a crime scene, but motive and suspect information are still under investigation, police added.
