A new culinary experience is headed to L.A. for a 16-week residency – and it’ll cost a pretty penny.

Noma, the Copenhagen-based restaurant with three Michelin stars and named Best Restaurant in the World multiple times, is opening its doors to L.A. this spring.

From March 11 through June 26, 2026, Angelenos will have the chance to dine at Noma. But it comes at a hefty price.

According to Noma’s website, they’ll spend the time “cooking, listening, learning, and building a body of work rooted in this place. Alongside the residency, which will be documented as part of a special film project, we’ll open a Noma Projects shop in Silver Lake, host events with friends at MAD, and collaborate with cooks, artists, and communities we admire across the city.”

How do you get a reservation?

Sign up for their newsletter by Friday, January 23. Bookings will be released on Monday, January 26, at 9 am PST.

Bookings will open up on a rolling basis. Guests only have 10 minutes to complete the purchase and must pay the full amount of $1500 per person upfront to reserve their spot. Bookings are non-transferable, but you can get a refund up to four weeks before the booking date with a 4% administration fee.

What’s included?

The $1500 menu will include the tasting menu and an alcoholic beverage pairing.

The price also includes a hospitality fee and taxes.

What’s on the menu?

Specific menu items have yet to be released, but the website says Noma’s L.A. cooking “will be shaped by what exists here — the Pacific, the mountains, the desert, and the long distances between them. We’ll spend time getting to know ingredients, producers, and traditions, and let that guide what ends up on the plate, filtered through our imagination and the know-how we bring with us from Denmark.”

Why is it so expensive?

The dinner menu at Noma’s Copenhagen location costs around $700 per person before pairings, according to Eater. With drink pairings, the price is bumped up to just over $1000 USD.

So why is it $1500 here?

According to Los Angeles Times, the price is due to the costs associated with transporting 130 people from Copenhagen for the residency, including lodging and schooling for staff members’ children.

Any other ways to get in?

Actually, yes! Noma is offering an “industry table” for up-and-coming hospitality professionals to eat for free – but you must be between 18 and 25 years old. The restaurant is taking applications for the process.
