Long Beach State earned its first win of the season against a Division 1 opponent, taking down Big West rivals CSUN, 62-61, on Saturday afternoon at LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid.
The Beach (2-15, 1-6 Big West) were led by 16 points and eight rebounds from senior Khylee Pepe. JaQuoia Jones-Brown and Morgan Mack each added 10 points, while Rosie Akot had nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
