A suspect remains at large after a man was found shot to death near the railroad tracks in Long Beach.
On Jan. 12, police responded to a shooting on the 2300 block of East Artesia Boulevard just before 7:30 p.m.
Officers found the victim, identified only as an adult male, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The shooter fled the scene before police arrived. Details on a possible motive or the circumstances leading up to the deadly shooting remain unclear.
Homicide detectives did not provide information about a possible suspect.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending the next of kin notification by the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner.
