A man was fatally shot in Long Beach early Sunday morning, Jan. 18, police said.
The victim was found injured in a white pick-up that had collided with a light pole and an unoccupied, parked car in the 1600 block of Gaviota Avenue, following the sound of multiple gunshots at around 1:49 a.m., Long Beach police said in a news release.
He was transported to a hospital, where he died. His identity was not released, pending notification of family.
Homicide detectives determined that the victim was inside the truck when he was shot, police said.
