Three people were injured Saturday, Jan. 17, when a stolen car fleeing from San Francisco police collided with vehicles in Hayward and Redwood City, authorities said.
The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital, San Francisco police said.
Officers assigned to the Real Time Investigation Center were notified about 1:10 p.m. of a stolen vehicle in the area of Third Street and Meade Avenue, near Bayview Park, police said.
Bayview officers located the vehicle near Third Street and Evans Avenue, near Hunters Point. They attempted to stop the vehicle when it failed to yield and a chase ensued, police said.
The vehicle finally came to a stop in Redwood City, where the two occupants, a male and female, fled on foot.
They were captured with the assistance of a California Highway Patrol helicopter, police said.
Although arrests have been made, the investigation remains open and active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Francisco Police Department at (415) 575-4444 or send a text to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
