PHOENIX – UC San Diego wrapped up its weekend in Phoenix with a 5-2 neutral court victory over DePaul Sunday morning at the GCU Tennis Facility. The Tritons won the doubles point and split the six singles matches to earn their second win in as many days.

HOW IT HAPPENED
For the third time in four matches, UC San Diego earned the doubles point. Grad student Hana Gamracy and freshman Carling Allaye-Chan were 6-3 winners on court three, and junior Julia Visaya and freshman Olivia Allegre also won 6-3 at No. 1 to give the Tritons a 1-0 lead.
Allaye-Chan was a 6-2, 6-2 winner in singles at No. 2 to put UC San Diego on top, 2-0, in the match. With the Tritons leading 2-1, Gamracy won 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3. Shortly thereafter, freshman Alisa Lansky sealed the Tritons’ win with her 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 win at fourth singles. With the match in hand, sophomore Allison Lian with her 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 6.
TRITON TIDBITS
Sunday was the first-ever meeting between the Tritons and Blue Demons.
The Tritons have utilized the same lineup in each of their four matches this spring.
Playing at No. 2, freshman Carling Allaye-Chan won her first singles match as a Triton.
