MLK. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE FILLED THE SAFE CREDIT UNION CONVENTION CENTER IN SACRAMENTO. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. A BLESSED DAY TO CELEBRATE THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF MARTIN LUTHER KING JUNIOR, HONORING THE PAST, IMPACTING THE FUTURE. THAT’S WHAT IT’S ABOUT. HONORING KING BY INVITING PEOPLE, HAVING PEOPLE INVITE SOMEONE TO HAVE A CONVERSATION, SOMEONE FROM ANOTHER RACE, RELIGION, CULTURE, HAVE A CONVERSATION AND WALK AND LEARN AND GROW. AND THAT’S THE WAY WE HONOR DOCTOR KING. CROWDS OF PEOPLE FILLED DOWNTOWN STREETS, MARCHING IN KING’S HONOR. EVEN DECADES LATER, AFTER HE PASSES AWAY, THE DREAM CONTINUES WITH CONTINUOUS MARCHES LIKE THIS. NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE OAKLAND, SACRAMENTO, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, ANY OTHER STATE IN GENERAL. MAN, THIS JUST TO SHOW AND REPRESENT LIKE THIS IN SUCH A HIGH QUANTITY OF PEOPLE. IT’S A BLESSING FOR SURE. IF THERE ISN’T JUSTICE FOR ONE, THEN THERE’S NO JUSTICE FOR ANYBODY. SO WE’RE HERE TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY. I DO THIS PARADE EVERY YEAR, AND THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR WITHOUT MY MOM. SO YEAH, I’M WALKING TO KEEP HER MEMORY GOING, GET MY STEPS IN TODAY. IT’S AN IMPORTANT DAY FOR, YOU KNOW, ALL OF US TO CELEBRATE MARTIN LUTHER KING AND HIS LEGACY, TO BE UNITED AND TO STAND TOGETHER, TO SHOW OUR CHILDREN WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A PEACEFUL, LOVING, COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY. THE MARCH ENDED AT THE CENTER WITH A DIVERSITY EXPO. IT’S AMAZING. IT’S FOR US, AND I LOVE TO SEE US AFRICAN AMERICANS AND JUST ALL KINDS OF DIVERSE PEOPLE GET TOGETHER. IT’S AMAZING. AND THAT EXPO DID WRAP AROUND 2:00 THIS AFTERNOON IN SACRAMENTO, LEE ANNE
