A driver was killed in a crash along an interchange between two major interstates in Sacramento’s Natomas neighborhood on Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol. Crews responded to the crash around 4:30 p.m. on the interchange from northbound Interstate 5 to eastbound Interstate 80. CHP officers told a KCRA 3 crew at the scene that the driver was the only occupant. It’s believed they were traveling at a high rate of speed when they went off the side of the roadway and crashed. Video from the crash showed the vehicle had overturned, landing on its roof. The driver has not yet been identified. This is a developing story.
