Daniel Betts, co-owner of The Well Comedy Club, spoke with Eyewitness News about the grand opening of its new location in Downtown Bakersfield.

Betts is set to celebrate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting Tuesday afternoon and two shows on Friday and Saturday nights featuring Hans Kim of the Kill Tony show notoriety.

Betts shared his vision for the night club, saying he believes the comedy scene can thrive in Bakersfield.

Comedians Russell Peters, Jim Norton and Paul Rodriguez are also among the comics that are scheduled to perform in the coming weeks of the Well’s new location.

The venue seats more than 200 people.
