Heating in the Liberal Arts 2, 3 and 4 is momentarily disrupted. Beach Buildings Services advised students to wear jackets due to the cold weather. Dante Estrada | Long Beach Current

Central heating is currently unavailable in Liberal Arts buildings 2, 3 and 4, as well as Faculty Office 2, with no estimated timeline for repair.

In an email sent to faculty and staff, Beach Building Services said, “Due to the failure in the campus heating hot-water infrastructure piping, the buildings listed above are temporarily without comfort heating.”

Beach Building Services advises students who have morning or evening classes in the affected buildings to bring jackets or warmer clothing, and said they’re working with a contractor to complete repairs as quickly as possible.
