LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – An investigation is underway into a shooting involving a federal agent in Los Angeles County Wednesday morning.
According to the sheriff’s department, deputies responded to reports of a shooting involving a Department of Homeland Security agent around 7:20 a.m. in the Willowbrook area.Â
Officials told FOX 11 a DHS task force was conducting an operation in pursuit of a car that ended up crashing in the 2400 block of 126th Street.Â
When agents approached the car to detain the suspects, shots were fired, according to authorities.Â
The suspect was not hit.Â
Roads are blocked in the area of Mona Boulevard and 126th Street and traffic is being diverted as the investigation continues.Â
