FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A major investment is set to expand access to youth sports in the City of Fresno.
Mayor Jerry Dyer, local councilmembers and young athletes were in attendance on Wednesday to announce the launch of a new Youth Sports Scholarship program.
The initiative is aimed at reducing financial barriers for children.
About $50,000 in Measure P funding is supporting the program.
The city is now seeking qualified non-profit organizations to apply for grant funding.
